My Story: Pink Nudes

Lauren Pendleton – Lives in Nashville, Tennessee by way of Houston, Texas. Interior Decorator for Boxwood Interiors and Lauren Pendleton Design. Loves a good margarita and chips and queso.

What did you frame and why is it special? I framed a series of original pink nude watercolors by Inslee. This was her first collection of nudes and I immediately knew I had to have them. I was given a custom watercolor that Inslee painted of my husband and me by my maids of honor. These are a constant reminder of that special gift even though it is proudly displayed in another room.

Why did you choose your specific frame style? It was difficult choosing a style because I liked so many. In the end, I’m always a sucker for gold. I loved the Lafayette style because it was just as whimsical as the prints themselves.

Where are your final framed pieces hanging? I have such a crazy love for this series so I knew I wanted to see and enjoy them every day. Since I work from home, my office was the obvious choice to display them. As soon as I get the room painted the perfect shade of navy, they’ll be up for good!

What are you excited to frame next? My husband gave me a really gorgeous piece of art by one of my favorite artists for our first anniversary that I would love to get on our walls immediately. On that note, it would be great to finally get some of our wedding photos framed too!
