Art We Love 5 Ways: Paper Jam Press

You know that feeling you get when a piece of art just gets you? Well, that's how we feel about Arianna Orland's music typography screen prints. We bought a pair of prints from her shop, Paper Jam Press, around Christmas and... we were in love.

One of the fun things we noticed about these prints is that different people from the Framebridge team - all with very different styles in music and design - loved them equally. So, we decided to recruit a few stylish people to show how one piece of art (or in this case, many works from one artist) can translate into lots of different styles and spaces.

And here you go! Paper Jam Press prints + Framebridge frames + the creative stylings of a few of our creative (Instagram) friends. Oh, and a nice promo code at the end to help you get the look!

Today Was a Good Day, with @calivintage

Stylist: Erin Hagstrom from the blog Calivintage

Featured Jam: "It Was A Good Day" by Ice Cube

In a word, what was the goal of your design? Relaxation.

How does your styling connect the feel of the Paper Jam print to you and your design? Did you add any additional frames to complete the look? I was definitely trying to incorporate some positive vibes into my bedroom, since I view it as a safe space for me to chill out at the end of the day. I wanted to add little positive reminders to myself so I can go there and feel good, even if I had a rough day.

Finish this sentence: This print makes me want to listen to: KDAY 93.5! Every time I see the print, I get the song stuck in my head. I grew up in California in '90s, so a lot of my memories are linked to the music from that time and place.

Can I Kick It, Yes You Can, with @melissasonico

Stylist: Melissa Sonico, blogger

Featured Jam: "Can I Kick It?" by A Tribe Called Quest

In a word, what was the goal of your design? Streamlined.

How does your styling connect the feel of the Paper Jam print to you and your lifestyle? I think the message is a pretty mellow one which is very in line with my lifestyle-- outside of having a newborn! :)

Finish this sentence: This print makes me want to listen to: A Tribe Called Quest (of course!)

It Was All A Dream, with @_tiannalewis

"It Was All A Dream" by Paper Jam Press in Bali with no mat and "Soho" by Kaitlin Rebesco in Irvine with no mat.

Stylist: Tianna Lewis from the blog Thetique

Featured Jam: "It Was All A Dream" by Notorious B.I.G.

In a word, what was the goal of your design? Comfort.

How does your styling connect the feel of the Paper Jam print to you and your lifestyle? I wanted to elevate the Paper Jam Print just past what was expected of it. More than a line from the song "Juicy," Notorious B.I.G's words are a mantra for turning one's dreams into reality. Therefore, I wanted to create a space where myself and anyone who visits my home could sit, get lost in a good book or magazine, and become inspired to be the person they always imagined they could.

Finish this sentence: This print makes me want to listen to: That little voice inside that says "anything is possible" (and also a bit of Notorious B.I.G!)

It's Like That, Cuz That's The Way It Is, with @graceinmagnolias

Stylist: Nicole Thompson, @graceinmagnolias

Featured Jam: "It's Like That" by Run D.M.C.

In a word, what was the goal of your design? Simple.

How does your styling connect the feel of the Paper Jam print to you and your lifestyle? The Paper Jam Press prints are styled in a shared space in our home. Our children, like most, are always asking, "Why?" Run-DMC keeps it simple and that's the way I like it!

Finish this sentence: This print makes me want to listen to: my jam, old school hip hop; the kind where I can rap every word and shock my children!

Can I Kick It, Yes You Can, with @framebridge

Stylist: Veronica, @framebridge's very own photo producer

Featured Jam: "Can I Kick It?" by A Tribe Called Quest

In a word, what was the goal of your design? Eclectic.

How does your styling connect the feel of the Paper Jam print to you and your lifestyle? These prints carry so much energy and playfulness – especially in our tiger wood Jambi frame. I wanted to style this office space in a way that was both functional and motivational with just a little bit of quirkiness.

Finish this sentence: This print makes me want to listen to: Block party jams.

Can you dig it? We totally can.
